1967 Alfa Romeo Giulia Super Bollino d’Oro
We would contest that any Alfa Romeo Giulia Super is a special machine, but this Bollino d’Oro specification car is something altogether rarer.
As the top of the range version of the spritely Giulia Super, the Bollino d’Oro featured desirable features such as floor shift gear change, rear seat armrest, luxury carpets, additional chrome work and gorgeous gold Alfa Romeo serpent logos to the C-pillars. The Bollino d’Oro specification was only available with the high specification 1600cc twin Weber carburettor engine, producing 112bhp from factory.
This particular example has been brought to the UK from Sicily, and is in superb preserved condition. Finished in the original and gorgeous colour combination of Verde Muschio (green) with Cinghiale (brown) interior, the car has developed an inimitable natural patina.
After bringing the car to the UK last year, the Italian owner had the car mechanically recommissioned to create a very useable, rolling restoration or preservation project, depending on your preference. They have used the car a lot over the past few months as a relief to lockdown, and frankly who can blame them! Ideally the car wants a respray to make perfect.

- New brakes, hoses and servo

- Sandblasted and powder coated wheels
It’s becoming harder and harder to find unmolested, unmodified Giulias, never mind special editions such as this Bollino d’Oro. With a modified Giulia in our personal collection we can attest to the fantastic experience these cars provide, and look forward to finding a new custodian to enjoy this original example.
