Seats ex Mazda MX5. Dials are Smiths Magnolia range. Heater operated by small lever on left hand side and two speed fan.
Colour: Lexus/ Toyota Dark Blue Mica 8T5.
Lights: Some of the lights have LED bulbs, in particular the spotlights that now operate as daytime running lights and come on with the side lights.
Engine: Was rebuilt when car was put together including re-bore, new pistons, big ends, main bearing etc. Current oil is Castrol GTX. Everything is standard Sierra specification. Cylinder head has unleaded valve seats installed - so no need for lead additives. New clutch at time of build. Type 9 Gearbox was rebuilt by GBH. Long first gear installed as recommended for light kit car and drain plug drilled and fitted. Back axle, steering box and brakes all standard Sierra. Tyre pressures are 18 to 20 psi all round. Wheels and tyres suppled by JBA Motors.. Front suspension shockers are adjustable AVO. Set close to minimum damping which seems best for a light car. The springs are 100-120 poundage. Rear suspension is standard Sierra with standard Sierra XR4i progressive springs fitted. Front anti roll bar has been removed and replaced with tie (compression) bars to give a better ride. Radiator is from a Ford Cortina, modified to double core for better cooling. Pipe to heater is 15. 9mm. Cap is 7 psi. Fuel tank dimensions are 800mm x 300mm x 180mm = 43 litres. Clock is battery operated and stops when it fancies! It is push fit with rubber gasket, there is a new spare clock in the glove box. Heater: Swing arm towards engine for hot and then use 2 speed fan. Handbrake: Easy to leave a little on and light will glow in centre of dash panel.
