MGB – Heritage Shell/ Tuned 1860cc/ Power Steering
?
The original MGB Roadster is one of the most recognisable British sports cars ever manufactured. It brought affordable fun to a whole generation of drivers when launched in 1962 and over the next 18 years over 500, 000 cars were sold.
Welcome to the sale of one of the nicest/ best sorted MGB Roadsters on the market today and a car that we have sold twice before – we like her a lot!
The ‘B’ was originally supplied by University Motors London on 25th February 1969 and was totally restored using a new Heritage shell by Keith Breton Cars, Surbiton in 1997.
The owner went for a no expense spared specification that includes:
· New shell in Tartan Red
· Chrome wire wheels
· Rebuilt Fast-Road Stage II 1860cc Engine.
· Lead free head.
· Full mechanical overhaul
· Walnut Dashboard
· Biscuit Leather Trim
· Motorlita Steering wheel
· Stainless Steel Exhaust
· Power Steering was fitted two years ago.
Since the rebuild the MG has covered around 15, 000 miles, has never been used in the rain and spent most of her life in a heated garage. The car drives superbly, the power steering makes the car easier for everyone to drive and the fast road engine copes admirably with moder road conditions
The large history folder contains invoices and MOT’s since the rebuild, Heritage certificate, photographs of the restoration, summary of previous owners etc.
Ready for weekends away or simply a run out to the local pub on a Sunday afternoon MGB’s in this condition, with this specification are highly desirable and we expect her to find a new custodian very quickly.
