HERE we have a mega-rare 1934 Lanchester LA10. At the time, the model was built by the Daimler/ Lanchester Company. So, in effect, this old girl is a Daimler in all but name. Body was hand-built by Mulliner. She is in excellent order with a stunning dark brown leather and wood interior (and working sunroof).
Her unique pre-select gearbox operates perfectly and she is a delight on the road. She was "found" in a barn in Somerset in 1990. History with the car from that point forwards states: "In each of the seven years I had the car, she never failed an MoT. But, to cut a long story short, the engine was rebuilt three times. Twice by an incompetent and then finally by Industrial Prototypes and Designs of West Norwood. They also overhauled the steering box. Len Stoller then rebuilt the gearbox."
She is a real gem of a 1930s classic with an overhead valve 1200cc engine that runs beautifully. Some areas of paintwork could be "touched in" but she is a rot-free example and please remember that she is a mammoth 87-years-old! Pure British style and elegance is what we have on offer here.
I can also assist with delivery and so please ask for a quote. Thanks, Martin.
