This is my 1981 280SL which has always been garaged and has only been used occasionally on dry days for pleasure.
I purchased her in May 2015 from the second owner. The fist owner, who I learned was a member of the Motor Trade, purchased the vehicle new and owned her for 34 years. The Mercedes specialist garage that helped him service the vehicle advised me that the vehicle had been known to them for many years and had been well looked after. The details are: mileage under 75, 000, supported by MOT Certificates for the entire period and detailed service history for the time of my ownership.
Please check the MOT history which shows she has sailed through in 2015/ 16/ 17/ 18/ 19/ 20 and February 2021 with no advisories – evidence that I have both improved and cared for this car.
This is a very well-presented classic Mercedes and has benefited from specialist and owner enthusiast attention. She is a good example for her age. She has a new hood and matching hard top.
She was last serviced by a MB Car Specialist July 2020.
