Here I have for sale my 2001 Honda Accord Euro R, JDM import in Premium White Pearl. The car was imported for me via Torque GT only last year and i am the only owner in the UK. I put a deposit on the car in japan around June last year, and picked up the car from Torque GT early December. I don't imagine I have to add to Torque GT's reputation, but I have bought 3 cars from them over the years even though they are over 4 hours away from me, and i have never been disappointed! The only reason I am selling the car so soon is I have the opportunity to buy a very very low mileage EF civic, and being the Honda fan boy that I am, its too good a chance to pass up, so sadly the Accord needs to move on.
When the car came into Torque GT, it has a certificate to verify the mileage which I have, it gets a full car check over, any parts replacing that are required, a full service, and full professional underseal, so this was all done roughly only 6 months ago. They have changed the battery to a brand new one, and changed the cambelt for peace of mind. I also had them put on brand new Nankang NS2R tyres all round, I have probably done under 2000 miles since owning the car.
The car is very original, and has barely been modified. Since having the car i sourced a replacement wind visor from japan (as one piece was missing), a Top Fuel Zero 1000 Intake specific for this car, and a Kansai Service lowered seat rail for the standard Recaro seat also specific for this car, as I always felt you sat too high. I have the original air box and seat rail ready to go with the car, along with a few other spares that came into the country with the car.
Condition all round is very very good for a car of 20 years old, and was clearly looked after in Japan, it was an auction grade 4. Being 20 years old of course its not perfect having a few little marks and pin dents on the body, the wheels have a few little marks and the passenger seat has a cigarette burn, but otherwise I cant really think of much else as that is being pedantic anyway. It would definitely put most 5 year old cars to shame. The exterior is great, the interior is great also minus the burn and very original, including full Honda mats. It does have some wear on the drivers seat as is common with any Honda Recaro's, but no tears or collapsed bolsters etc. The boot is super clean under the carpets and no signs of rust whatsoever on this car, still has original spare wheel and tool set also. It has all the Japanese service history too if you can make out what it says.
It has the Japanese double din stereo still in place that has a full hard drive of Japanese music from the early 2000's if that's your thing, but could do with a frequency expander to pick up more radio stations. It also has a single din head unit lower down that does not seem to do much? On the rear windows are double antennas that came on the car from Japan, they don't exactly do much but i left them on there anyway.
The car does not burn oil, makes no funny noises or creaks from the suspension etc, its still on the OEM suspension which is perfect for UK roads unlike most imports. Its always been run on V Power and cleaned most weekends, I have owned many import Hondas over the years and this is one of the best I have owned by far. The only thing I have had to change is the thermostat as it was getting stuck open, and I had a 4 wheel toe alignment done only a few months ago, I have receipts for these.
As mentioned, I really have no reason to sell the car apart from I don't have room for another car, so this needs to make way for the new/ old civic. Its a perfect daily driver and needs for nothing, i think its the perfect compromise between sportiness and comfort. Now that EK9's and DC2's etc are getting so hard to find, its really the only other sport Honda from that era, and now that most of us are 'grown up' and have kids etc, its a great car for that purpose!
