Description
'91 5-door MkII Golf... original and completely unmolested with only 3 owners since new and showing a genuine 47, 000 miles. This is a nice solid example but has stood off the road for the last year so the paintwork is somewhat dulled and would benefit from a good polish to bring it back to its best (there is also a light surface pitting on the top of the driver's door which may need a a touch-up). Inside is good with blue / grey cloth seats in fine order, original Panasonic radio and all dash buttons etc. present and correct.
The engine is quiet and smooth and the car drives well with no worrying sounds or smells. However, having been off the road for a while we would advise a light recommissioning and service prior to venturing too far.
The car comes with it's original document pack and dealer service history to the early 2000s.
These MkII's are already bonafide modern classics and, with a bit of TLC, this car could be a real belter for years to come or form the basis of a light upgrade project to bring it up to truly outstanding spec.
