1966 Triumph Spitfire Four MK II 1147cc. Signal red with red upholstery and a white factory hard top. The Heritage Certificate that comes with the car shows that the car was dispatched on 28th March 1966 to Broadfields Ltd, Triumph dealers in Cockfosters London. This superb, matching numbers Spitfire has been the subject to a complete restoration to the highest of standards in 2017, this includes the body being completely stripped down and restored making sure that all the gaps were correct when reassembled, the engine and gearbox disassembled then fully checked and rebuilt, refitted to car with new clutch and having the carburettors checked and balanced. A new red interior fitted including new carpets and new black soft top, also fitted four new tyres and a factory hard top painted in old English white. No expense was spared and the history folder contains a large photographic record of the restoration as well as a British Motor Industry Heritage Certificate. The Triumph has been with the last owner for 4 years and during this time he kept the car as you see today with no expense spared and we have invoices on file for over £3900, this included the fitment of electronic ignition, fuel pump kit a carburettor overhaul and a rolling road tune with the results on file. The MK II’s are now a very rare sight on U. K roads and we estimate not many are currently registered. The early Spitfires are great fun to own and drive, being simple and affordable to maintain and work on, with motoring enthusiasts now recognising their potential and advantages of ownership.
