Description
THIS is my 1966 Triumph Spitfire Mark II. She is a January, 1966 model on a D reg. The Mark II is the rarest of all five Spitfire models and fewer were built than any of the other variants.
Between 2010 and 2013, she underwent a lengthy restoration process and bills are included in her history file to back this up. They total in excess of £20, 000! So, it is eight years since she was finished and MoTs show that she has travelled just less than 2, 000 miles since that point.
Finished in the owner's choice of Iris Blue - probably the best colour for an early Spitfire - with contrasting tan interior, she remains in beautiful condition today. There are also photos in the file, recording the various stages of what was quite clearly an extensive restoration. She sounds as fit as a fiddle and drives beautifully. She has no soft top (they came with a stow away frame and hood on these models and are available new) but she does come with a fibre glass hard top which is lightweight, easy to fit and looks superb when it becomes part of the Mark II's curvaceous lines.
Mark 1 and IIs are highly sought after these days and are rarely offered. When they are, you will find that they tend to be at five-figure prices. In my view, you will struggle to find a nicer early Spitfire than this one at my sort of money!
I can also assist with delivery and so please ask for a quote. Thanks, Martin.
