This Alfa GTV has just come out of long-term storage and is in incredibly solid, rust-free condition. Before going into storage it was treated to a bare metal repaint around 10 years ago. There are no signs of any corrosion with only very minor imperfections in the paint, the worst being a small touched-up scratch on the passenger front wing. All of the chrome and plastic trims are in excellent condition. The car was recently inspected at our local workshop who commented on how good and original the underside is, being free from corrosion and previous poor repairs.
The car sits on period split-rim Compomotive alloys that were also fully refurbished when the car was repainted. More recently the tyres have been replaced with a matching set of Toyo Proxes.
The interior presents really well with only some very minor wear to the piping on the seats in a couple of places. The dashboard remains in excellent condition with no cracks, damage, or distortion. The parcel shelf is also in good condition, as are the carpets.
The engine compartment presents very nicely with no signs of corrosion to the inner wings or bulkhead. The engine fires into life and sounds great on the carburettors.
Unfortunately, due to personal circumstances the current owner is no longer able to keep the Alfa and so it’s now available for sale. Following on from a period in storage of around 8 years it has just returned from a light mechanical re-commissioning and MOT test at trusted marque specialists, A For Alfa in Aylesbury. This work was completed in late July 2021 and cost in excess of £1, 200. The car has also received a refurbished radiator and new battery in recent months. The advisory-free MOT is valid until 28th July 2022. The desirable number plate ‘122 GTV’ is included (122 mph being the car’s top speed).
