Another early Boxster 3. 2 S first registered in March 2000 by Dick Lovett in Swindon, W367GAP is in absolutely superb order throughout, with great history and just 49, 148 miles from new, an average of just 2, 340 miles each year in the hands of just 4 owners, the first two of which were father and son.
The specification of this car is generous, with some choice options added by Mr Walker when ordering his Boxster after seeing it at the London Motor Show in October 1999 – a copy of the Porsche brochure from the Show with handwritten annotations is included in the history file. The main options are hardback sports seats, extended Metropole leather to dashboard and door panels, automatic air conditioning, Traction Control, Litronic xenon headlights with washer system, and a Becker Porsche CDR-22 CD radio unit. That little lot came to £47, 602 in early 2000 (when the average house price in the UK was £84, 300!).
Presented in Arctic Silver with Metropole Blue leather interior and a blue hood, W367GAP was serviced by the supplying dealer Dick Lovett Swindon every year to 2008 and 34, 000 miles, at which point the Walker family sold the car to a Mr Milligan, who used the car very sparingly indeed, accruing just 6, 000 miles over the next 12 years before selling to the most recent owner, a retired police officer from Cardiff. He continued to improve the car over the past year, fitting new front “coffin arms’, anti rollbar drop links front and rear, Brembo front brake discs and pads, new headlamp washer nozzles, upgraded Sony speakers in the dash, a discreet Bluetooth/ USB charger unit and Brodit phone holder, and changed the oil, filter and coolant. The tyre are virtually new Michelin Pilot Sport 4 all round.
W367GAP drives very well indeed, with superb perfomance from the 3. 2 litre flat six, direct feelsome steering, precise handling and great ride quality on the 17” Twist-spoke wheels and Michelin tyres, backed up with powerful brakes. Just what a 986 Boxster should feel like, with the added bonus of an epic soundtrack at the touch of a button!
Like all our cars, this Boxster S will come with a comprehensive 6 month/ 6, 000 mile warranty from industry leaders Warrantywise, a new MOT and we will prepare the car with a Minor service, brake fluid change and a full checkover. We have also repainted the front bumper to remove a few stone chips.
