1946 Velocette GTP 250 cc Two Stroke Trials Special , A letter dated November 2002 supplied with this Velocette confirms that frame number 7926 which this frame is numbered . The Frame was supplied direct from the Velocette works as a frame only to Nottinghamshire motorcycle dealer "W. A. (Billy) Wing" at 152 Mansfield Road , Nottinghamshire . I am told that this GTP was built in period as trials bike , Having the longer front forks and an up swept exhaust system . The original registration for the GTP was reapplied in 1984 . In and around 2012 the Velocette GTP Trials special was subject of a full restoration . Having, I am told by the vendor, a full engine rebuild . Little more than 200 miles have been covered on the Velocette GTP since restoration completing two VMCC vintage runs . New tyres front and back were fitted 18 months ago for these events . This is a charming and very well presented Velocette motorcycle . Easy to start and appears to be running very well .
