This 1933 Velocette KSS 350 racing motorcycle was part of the private collection of the late Kauko Piirainen, a Finnish motorcycle collector and historic motorcycle racer.
Kauko acquired the motorcycle from Germany in the early 2000s, with the assistance of Antero Konttila, who helped arrange its purchase and transportation to Finland.
According to information passed down with the motorcycle, it had previously competed in German hill-climb events and European Championship racing. It is also believed to have participated in racing on the Isle of Man, although this connection has not yet been independently verified.
During Kauko's ownership, the motorcycle was actively used in historic racing, including events at Kemora (2010) and Botnia Ring in Jurva. It also participated in demonstration runs in Savonlinna, Kuopio, Iisalmi and Pyynikki.
The motorcycle underwent mechanical rebuilding and racing preparation in Finland, including the incorporation of Velocette KTT racing components.
Following Kauko Piirainen's passing, the motorcycle remained in the family and is now owned by his son.
