Introduced in 2005, the Performance Package is often referred to as the F1 since it was inspired by the modifications made to the SL55 used as F1’s pace car. The package comprised of a raised speed limiter, taking the top speed from 155mph to 186mph, an additional oil cooler with the SL65 front bumper, Nurburgring sports suspension, bigger brakes and Type-4 AMG 19in wheels to accommodate them. Its rarity makes it one of the most collectable modern AMGs
