Jaguar MK2 3. 4, 1963, in metallic light blue color, 3. 4-litre engine, manual transmission, left hand drive. This Jaguar MK2 3. 4 is a barn find and a splendid exemplar of preservation. It was bought in 1963 and first registered in Milan, later in Varese since 1966. It had belonged to the countess Pellini until 1971, when it changed owner – the last one until…now. Since 1971, for 50 years, this Jaguar MK2 3. 4 has been garaged and this condition made possible its preservation: the body has never been welded or resprayed, the interior is original, the engine bay and the boot lid are untouched. In other words, this Jaguar Mk2 3. 4 has never been restored. The speedometer indicates 49. 000km and we believe to be the original mileage, given that it hasn’t hit the road since 1971. It comes with the old logbook and manual.
We opted for a conservative refurbishing in order to keep its patina if possible: the blue leather upholstery has been restored keeping the original materials; the original chrome work has been polished; the body, which has clean and straight shapes, has been just polished as well; the carpets have been replaced with new ones; the car has been started; the tires and the wire wheels are now new. The engine bay and the boot lid are original and untouched.
