Mercedes 280SL Automatic Pagoda 1968 G registration. Signal red with matching hardtop and parchment leather seats. Only 76, 000 miles with history to confirm. This is an original matching numbers right hand drive car with the California option of rear seats. Fully body restoration was carried out between 2007 and 2009 by the renowned Mercedes restoration specialist Tommy Heaney at a cost of 67, 000 Euros. The engine was rebuilt in 2010 by Benjamin Lichtenberg Classics at a cost of 9500 Euros only three thousand miles ago.
The history file is tremendous and contains the original book pack with all the books including the stamped service book. A record of the restoration work including many photos, the data card confirming how the car left the factory, folders of receipts and various mot’s. Also comes with the original tool kit.
