This Wolseley 1500 was first registered on 4th March 1964 and the v5 is showing 6 previous keepers. In 2019 it was discovered partially stripped for rebuild in the back of a workshop after the owner who had the car for 11 years decided to restore it. Sadly ill health stopped it getting finished . It was bought by Customs & Classics in East Sussex and they then set about completing the restoration. All body panels had been removed and sand blasted and then a few necessary repairs were carried out before painting it in the original Dove Grey. But a duo tone scheme was decided in a period colour which finished it nicely. The interior was treated to new headlining and carpets and then a set of modern seats from an Alfa Romeo were fitted. Mechanically an 1800 cc B series engine was fitted and mated to a 4 speed mg gearbox with the standard Wolseley rear end. A set of new polished rim alloys were fitted with new tyres to leave the car looking very smart. The Wolseley starts and runs absolutely fine and drives very well, slightly throaty with a straight through 2" exhaust to a single rear silencer. The car has current mot until June 2022, comes with a history file containg many bills/ tax discs, manuals etc. The Wolseley is ready to enjoy.
