I bought this bike in 2016 after wanting one since they came out in the 1980s!
Unfortunately, just as I found with the Aprilia Mille that I've also got for sale, my increasingly decrepit body doesn't suit the handlebars and general riding position, and I hardly ever rode the bike.
A real shame, because I'd fitted brand new tyres and got the wheels blasted and powder coated in a nice complimentary graphite/ gunmetal finish.
So, the tyres have done less than 250 miles!
The bike had stood unused prior to and through lockdown, but when things eased earlier this year I decided to recommission it and try riding it occasionally.
I drained the tank (it's immaculate inside, like new) and removed the carbs and cleaned them out... including clearing all the pilot jets, which were blocked.
I changed the water pump and coolant, and changed the oil filter and oil.
I never did get round to riding it because I realised that my body just won't let me do so properly, so I've decided to sell it.
So the tank is empty and clean, and the carbs should be fine.
The battery had died, so it needs a new one.
I can stick a car battery and jump leads on if you want to check the electrics and hear it turn over.
As you can see, it's got a sweet sounding Laser 4-1 exhaust.
The chain is good and so are the discs and pads.
It pushes easy, so the brakes aren't binding.
There's some small cracks on the lower right bellypan, and the left side is slightly bowed (see pics).
Mileage is just over 45, 000.
There's no MOT on the bike... if you want one I could get it done, but it would be at your cost.
