1968 Morris Minor 1000.
She’s a lovely very original and unmolested car. Kept garaged. She runs and drives really well, the engine and gearbox are very good. She brakes well too, in a nice straight line.
She’s been recently serviced, with new points, condenser, rotor arm, fan belt, oil etc and has had brakes overhauled with a new master cylinder. Plenty of grease in the trunnions and steering rack. New heater hoses. She is on four good Firestone tyres with plenty of tread.
I’ve had the car professionally inspected recently and she’s a solid little car. She has good solid rear spring hangers and mounts, crossmember, sills, floor and chassis legs. As well as a new stainless steel exhaust. The only area underneath that wants repairing is the front crossmember. I’ve been quoted approx. £250 to have this replaced. The parts required are included in the sale. I was going to do some rust proofing but have decided to leave it so potential buyers can see for themselves how good she is. She is MOT exempt, but has an MOT until Sep 2022.
She has a new mechanical fuel pump. Petrol tank has obviously been replaced at some point too. No petrol fumes in boot or cabin. She’s nice and original under the bonnet.
There are lots of old MOTs and history dating back over 20 years.
Cosmetically she is perfectly presentable, but not perfect. The bodywork is good all round. She could be happily used for years as a daily runner as she is and improve her as you go if you wish.
Interior is original but in good condition and the seats are nice and comfortable. The headlining is very good. She has modern inertia reel type seatbelts in the front. The heater works a treat. There is a period rear windscreen demister and a period ammeter.
I’ve been as honest as I can about her condition, all in all she’s a really nice little Moggy ready for someone to use and enjoy.
