Exterior: I think regardless of what type of cars you like, everybody can agree that the Corvette C1 Convertible is a very beautiful car. And, the colour combination on this particular Corvette must be one of the best that was available from Chevrolet at the time. To then finish that off with a set of wide white wall tires feels like this must have been the American dream car in 1961. The paintwork from 2017 looks awesome. It has a very nice depth and shine, and the fiberglass body has no visible cracks. The chrome details are outstanding and all rubber is soft and in good condition. As you can see in the pictures, the Corvette C1 has a normal level ride height and very good panel fit.
Interior: The Corvette C1 interior is just gorgeous with so many little chrome details that still look like new. And, it is when you see all these details that are in such good shape, you can understand the low km. The counter indicates just over 42, 000 miles which would be 67, 200km. The trunk area is nice and clean with the original rubber carpet. Underneath lie the original spare and jack with correct numbers and stickers.
Engine: Corvette V8 283cui with two twin barrel carburettors gives this car 270hp. This is more than enough for an open car. The engine fires up right away and shifting through the four speed gearbox is easy. The power assisted brakes are very effective and the final drive has normal sound. The exhaust has just been replaced.
2018: New fuel pump, carpets inside, new seatbelts, main battery switch.
2019: Speedometer wire, hose fuel tank, new shocks, bushings sway bar front and rear.
2020: Lubrication points, oil and filter change, new fuel filter, change of gearbox oil, thermostat and gasket, wheel alignment, 2 new Magnaflow mufflers, the car has driven about 500km since.
