MX-5s are a fun driver’s car, and thanks to their affordability they have endured a mass appeal that very few sportscars have achieved. The cool look of the MK1 with its classic pop-up headlights have become the most desirable model to own, and as a result it is a tough challenge to find a super-low mileage example like this.
Fairmont are excited to offer this splendid 2-owner 1996 MX-5 Eunos Roadster 1. 8 with an incredibly low mileage of 20, 200 miles from new. Imported from Japan when it was a year old, the odometer still reads in kms and included in the file is every MOT dating back to 1999, support its low usage.
Finished in its original Mica Merlot lick of paint and contrasting beige factory leather seats and matching leather roof itis an eye-catching car and perfect for summer motoring. Being an original example and now pushing 25 years old, it presents well but as you can expect a few small honest signs of its age are showing in the coachwork. There is no structural rust or corrosion and especially around rear sills or chassis legs which are all good. Furthermore, the interior and engine bay have held up well, further giving credence to its low recorded mileage.
The current registered keeper owned the vehicle since 1997 and spent most of its’s life in Richmond and was maintained by a local garage in the area. Included with the car is an impressive historical file containing every MOT dating back to 1999, many invoices for servicing and maintenance.
MOT is valid until August 2022 and we can extend this to a full year. As ever we will carry out an oil and filter service prior to delivery as standard and prospective buyers are welcome to inspect the car in our workshop.
