Hexagon Classics are pleased to offer this stunning low mileage manual gearbox Porsche 993 Carrera S, which has beautifully maintained. Just 251 manual cars were produced for the UK market.
The 993 Carrera S is a rare and much favoured variant, due to its low production numbers and its massive kerb appeal which was enhanced by its wide hips. The car was produced for a one-year period only and can be easily identified by its split rear engine grill, and unique steel grey trim.
The Carrera S offered a higher equipment level than its little brother, the suspension was lowered (option M033) by 10mm at the front and 20mm to the rear, the nose section, side panels and wide rear body are of the 4S, which gives the car a Turbo look.
This wonderful example is powered by the 3. 6 litre, air cooled naturally aspirated, VarioRam equipped engine, the last of the 911 air cooled engines which is why the 993 sits so highly amongst the neunelfer purists. The VarioRam adjusted the length of the air intake ducts in line with the engine revs and the speed of the car, and the power output was increased to 285 bhp.
This 993 Carrera S was supplied new by Dick Lovett Porsche in August 1997 and has a complete service history stretching back to 1998. The car has recently benefitted from a Porsche specification service. The 993 Carrera S also comes with a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, leather driver’s book pack, historic MOT certificates, two keys and remote fobs. This is an opportunity for a Porsche collector to obtain a fine example of the desirable 993 Carrera S. The car will also benefit from a written 12-month warranty.
