Here at Old Colonel Cars we are lucky to have this rare classic Mercedes convertible, the W124 (C124) E320 Cabriolet. One of only 557 E320 Cabriolets came to the UK and this June 1993 example features the sought after ‘Sportline’ option, with only 75, 000 miles. This immaculate example benefits from an excellent, fully documented service history, Mercedes main dealer until 2018 and over 70, 000 miles. These are rare cars, with a short production life, rock solid build quality, this one is as rust free and original as they come, with the perfect specification and maintenance history.
Finished in Blue / Black metallic (199). The paintwork is in immaculate condition, this example must be one of the best out there, it would stand out at any show. Look closer, no dings or dents, no rust, all solid wheel arches, front wings etc. Underneath its just as good, a rock solid example throughout.
Inside, it’s finished in lovely soft, Grey leather (268). As you can hopefully see from the pictures, this is also in outstanding condition. The leather throughout is in superb condition, the complimenting wood trim is the same, door cards, dash etc. The deep pile carpets have been protected from new by the extra quality floor mats, so the carpet still looks and feels as new. This interior is a lovely place to be, all with that high quality feel.
This Mercedes features a simple to use electric roof. The roof itself is in excellent condition, not faded and looks very fresh. With the roof down, the lines of this Mercedes look even better. This Cabriolet also features extendable rear headrests, that can also be operated by the rear passengers and doubles up as rollover protection if needed. This car is full of safety features, many way ahead of their time.
The service history with this car is outstanding. This car has been looked after and serviced by Mercedes main dealers until over 70, 000, then trusted to well respected Mercedes specialists for the last 2 services, including full gearbox service etc. Along with a thick A4 folder of history, from original sales invoice, service invoices, old MOT’s, this Mercedes comes with all the original manuals, a fully stamped original service book etc.
The 3. 2 straight six petrol engine is a lovely engine, smooth with ample power for this classic Mercedes. On this well maintained example, it runs and performs perfectly. The Auto gearbox on this E320, has lovely smooth gear changes, just as it should.
