SUMMARY
Originally supplied by Bells of Coldstream, this Coupé is finished in the very attractive colour scheme of Malachite Green over Kiwi Green lower panels and bumpers, and is complimentated by its contrasting palatial Mushroom leather interior bedecked with walnut wood.
The car has had five owners in total, the first lady until 1998, then the second gentleman until 2014. Interestingly, in 2014, when it passed into the hands of its third owner, the Coupé had covered just 41k miles from new. Between 2014 and 2016 its third keeper increased that to 71k miles, so taken was he with the car, it seemed he couldn't stop driving it!. The car was then sold to a Mercedes collector, who used the car sparingly but regularly, taking the then mileage to 71, 896. It was then sold by the enthusiast owner, to a another classic car enthusiast who used the car in just good weather and who took it to its current mileage of 76, 147 miles.
This W124 Coupe comes with all original books, manuals, all of the originally supplied keys – two normal, one valet and one emergency. In addition, it has a full service history, comprising of main dealer and specialists, accompanied by a large A4 file of supporting invoices. As the photos show this example has remained in quite simply exceptional condition. The exterior is unmarked yet still wears all original panels and is still in its largely original paint. The interior is quite remarkable, displaying almost no sign of its 24 years at all. No wear, no fading, just incredible original condition. The unmarked eight-hole alloy wheels wear a matching set of recent Goodyear tyres.
The car is completely as supplied, right down to its Blaupunkt stereo/ cassette. On the road this 230CE is one of the very best I've driveben and which surely is a direct reflection of the regular and correct maintenance the this beautiful car has enjoyed I challenge anyone to find a better example of its type.
