Description
Jaguar Mk2 1963 manual overdrive in original colour of golden sand. A very attractive and sound car, stripped to bare metal and repainted around five years ago. Purchased by the present owner in 1976, with a documented service history since. The subject of a recent total rebuild of the suspension, brakes, steering and fuel system with under 200 miles since. This work includes new springs all round with uprated fronts, new Koni shocks, fully poly-bushed, all new ball joints to suspension and steering, EZ electric power steering, new Zeus callipers, new pads and discs, new uprated brake servo, new master cylinder and fluid reservoir, new brake pipes and hoses. Full overhaul of fuel system, including new fuel tank, new fuel pump, fuel filter and rebuilt carburettors. Cooling system uprated with new high efficiency aluminium radiator and new SPAL electric fan. Originally a 2. 4 but fitted with a special 3. 4 engine in 1984. Excellent oil pressure, very strong performance and maintains perfect temperature. Sounds great with very special stainless exhaust, of the type we used in the JDC pre-68 race series back in the 80s. Excellent painted wires with new spinners. Interior has new roof lining and fresh red hides to front and rear seats. Chrome is all original and although not perfect is quite acceptable. New battery and alternator charging. Winner of “Pride of Ownership” award at Sidmouth Classic Car Show in 2019. Not a show car but a very usable example at a sensible price. £18, 950.
