Description
For sale is my November 1974 build Puma GT1600.
The car is No. 171 of approximately 270 RHD cars build by Bromer Motor Assemblies in Durban, South Africa between Aug ‘73 - April/ May ‘75 under license to Puma Veiculos E Motores S. A. who was a Brazilian car, truck and bus manufacturer based in Sao Paulo from 1964 until 1989.
Puma cars are not kit cars and can be described as the Brazilian TVR, their car bodies made from Fibreglass and all mechanical components sourced from larger mainstream manufacturers such as DKW, VW and GM
Imported to the UK in 2004 & correctly registered as a Puma GT 1600 it was rebuild & updated a few years ago.
Now has later VW disc brakes at the front, a 2087cc aircooled flat 4 engine with twin 48IDA Weber carburettors.
Converted from a swing axle to IRS, the gearbox has close ratio gears with a long 4th gear for easy A-road & motorway cruising.
I have loads of pictures of the car, from when the previous owner who imported it to the UK bought it in South Africa right to the rebuild.
The car has a new MOT, is ready to use and needs nothing but a full tank of gas.
Any questions please contact me.
