A rare, low mileage Renaultsport Clio 182 Trophy, number 459 of 500 and only 248 now remaining on UK roads. 36k miles.
Perceived as being one of the best front wheel drive cars of all time. A limited number of 500 were made. Autocar magazine described the car as the “Worlds Greatest Hot Hatch” and Evo magazine calling it the “Giant killer”. You get all of the usual cup pack bits and more! On top of this you get Sachs Race Engineered Dampers, Recaro half leather/ alcantara sports seats. 16” dark metallic Turini wheels and they all came in Capsicum Red. You also keep the air conditioning and soft touch dash normally lost with the cup models.
Exterior: The bodywork is exceptional with hardly any noticeable marks at all. The sills and arches are pristine and can be seen in the photos. The wheels are immaculate and are shod in brand new Continental Premium Contact tyres. The Capsicum red paintwork has just been 2 stage polished and protected with a ceramic coating and looks as fresh as when it came out of the showroom. All of the plastics are in good condition with only a slight fading of the door handles visible. There are no scratches or dents on the car.
Interior: The interior is like new. There are no marks on the seats and hardly any sign of wear. Please see the pictures confirming this. The original carpets are present and in great condition too. There is slight wear on the steering wheel which I believe is a common trait on these cars.
Engine and transmission: The engine and gearbox feel exactly how they should. Smooth and quiet with no strange noises. The car pulls well as expected.
History and Servicing: The servicing of the car is good with only 2 services missed in its lifetime, probably due to the low miles. They have been carried out by Renault or K-tech Racing by its 4 previous owners. It has had 2 x timing belt changes with the latest one completed in 2018. The Sachs dampers were rebuilt in 2018 . All 4 brake calipers have been stripped, rebuilt and powder coated in 2021. The latest service was an oil change in September 2021 so it is not due another until September next year. New braked disks and pads on all 4 corners. All the book packs are present and the service stamps visible as well as the V5c. 2 sets of original alarm keys.
This is a very rare car especially in this condition and mileage, 36k.
