The Wolseley 16/ 60 was produced from 1961 to 1971 and was the first of the mid-sized Pininfarina-styled automobiles manufactured by the British Motor Corporation (BMC).
Craner classics are pleased to offer this excellent example of a Wolseley 16/ 60 finished in dove grey and old english with red leather interior. The car was exported to Cyprus in 1969 as the first owner was in the Forces. In 1993 the car was then sold to its second owner, a Military Officer posted in Cyprus who undertook a refurbishment of the car. In 1996 the car was then returned to the UK aboard the Sir Percival RFA to Southampton. In 2001 the car changed hands and during 2010 a fully reconditioned engine was fitted. In 2013 the car changed hands after which the car won numerous awards at many classic car shows. July 2018 saw the car pass to its final owner. During his ownership the car had a partial respray, refurbishment of the hydraulic systems and front suspension, new door cards and conversion from dynamo to alternator.
The interior is in very good order with an excellent headlining and new red carpets fitted.
The exterior chrome work is all in excellent condition even the door handles are all in good order with no pitting.
A particularly attractive feature of the 16/ 60 is the polished walnut veneered fascia and door cappings which all present very well.
