Beschreibung
This lovely Triumph Spitfire was first registered in September 1971 and is finished in Brooklands Green with a black Mohair hood. The car has been subject to complete restoration which involved dismantling down to the chassis, which was repaired and painted. The car had new sills, rear wings, doors, floor and a complete bonnet, the body was then subject to a bare metal respray.
The interior was upgraded with leather seats and trim, a Burr walnut dash, new green carpets and a new set of Smith guages in white. The engine was taken out and overhauled and new carburetors fitted. The car also benefited from a complete rewire, the bumpers were rechromed , an electronic ignition was fitted and the wheels have been sandblasted and powder coated including the spare.
Since its restoration this Spitfire has covered around 15, 000 fair weather miles and been garaged. The car has been well maintained and had other upgrades since restoration including recently some repairs to the hood, which looks like new, complete with zip out rear window. It looks fabulous and runs well having just had a full service including new plugs, leads, brake pads and shoes.
The car comes with a lot of history including photos before and during restoration and a lot of receipts for work carried out over the years.
