I am selling my 2006 Subaru Legacy BP5 2. 0 GT automatic Japanese import.

Below is a full and detailed description:

This Legacy is a Japanese spec GT twin scroll turbo model with 260hp as standard (EJ20X engine code) and a 5-speed automatic gearbox with optional flappy paddles for manual mode.

This engine and gearbox combination gives you a very smooth driving experience when driven gently however if you want to drive in a more spirited fashion, all the power combined with 4-wheel drive and sporty Bilstein suspension turns the car into a real thoroughbred rally-style beast.

The BP5 Legacy twin scroll is like Dr Jekyll & Mr Hyde of the car world, a practical estate car for your standard grocery trips but on the other side a proper sports car which gives you a lot of fun from the driving experience and can be thought of as a more grown-up version of the Impreza WRX STi. All in all, a true sleeper car which can surprise many with its performance.

As mentioned above, it benefits from Subaru’s famous symmetrical 4-wheel drive system which improves traction in all conditions and also the Si-Drive controller which lets you choose between economy, sport or sport sharp driving mode and adjusts the throttle response, gear changes etc. to suit your driving style.

It is an exceptionally clean car, bodywork is excellent with hardly any signs of age other than the odd very small mark (literally as if it was a 2019 car and not a 2006), there’s no rust at all.

I purchased this car with a Japanese auction grade of 4B/ B and it has covered only 46, 500 miles (just under 75k kilometres).

I have multiple documents to prove its mileage and clean history, this includes a CarVX report (Japanese HPI equivalent which shows past mileage records and auction information), auction sheet, JEVIC certificate (additional proof of genuine mileage), Japanese service records and a copy of the export certificate.

This particular Legacy only had 1 previous owner from new until export from Japan. As mentioned earlier, it also comes with a comprehensive service record from Japan all the way from new until approx. 44k miles (71k km).

The interior of this example is in exceptionally good condition for one of these cars. Overall, there’s very little interior wear, the seats are in great condition, everything is clean and tidy and the only negative point (very minor) is slight cracking of the dashboard which is a common and well-known problem with these cars and affects almost every single one.
This is caused by the hot climate in Japan and in case of this particular car is limited to very small areas near the edges of the dash (not very noticeable).

Mechanically it is faultless, engine runs perfectly, gearbox works as intended and is responsive, all tyres are new (fitted on request by the exporter shortly before the car left Japan in December 2021), suspension is great as well and handling is excellent (as I said before, even though it’s an estate it feels like driving a proper sports car).

To keep the engine in perfect condition I run this car on good quality 99 octane fuel ever since it arrived in the UK, just as intended by the manufacturer.

It is fully UK registered (reg no. SN56UBV) and has a long MOT with no advisories until 14. 02. 2023.
All taxes and duties were paid already as part of UK registration.
It comes with a current V5 as well, so the only thing to do if you buy it would be to get insurance and pay for road tax in your name just like any other car.
