motodrome offer this beautiful 1960 Cadillac Series 62 Coupe De Ville, finished in it’s original colour scheme of Arroyo Turquoise metallic with Turquoise leather/ black buttoned cloth interior.
The Bill Mitchell designed sixth-generation Series 62 has an iconic shape which is the epitome of 1950’s styling with the exaggerated fins, although the fins and overall styling was toned down a little for the 1960 model, despite still looking pretty wild 62 years later, and the pillarless coupe bodystyle is probably the best iteration.
This example, finished in it’s original eye-popping colour scheme, left the factory with the following options:
E-Z eye glass
Heater
Air Conditioner
6-way powered bench seat adjustment
To complement the original specification including 4-speed automatic transmission, power steering and brakes, electric windows, and remote door mirror. two-speed wipers etc – way more kit than a European car of the time.
As with all of them, it’s powered by the 390 cu. in V8
This one, believed to have come from California, was imported into the UK and registered here in 2021, and we’re told was fully serviced and prepared to MOT standard including new Whitewall tyres, and I can confirm it drives as well as it looks.
It comes with a fitted all-weather cover.
Owning one of these should be on the bucket list of any serious petrolhead, and you can expect plenty of attention when you’re out cruisin’ (with the windows down and elbow resting on the doortop, naturally).
I think, if you’re in the market for one of these, you’ll struggle to find a better one.
