Hexagon Classics are delighted to offer this bespoke super-saloon from Alpina. Improving the best-ever 5 series BMW was no easy task, but Alpina have produced an absolute winner with this 375 bhp, 177 mph special.

Alpina works closely with BMW and their processes are integrated into BMW's production lines, thus Alpina is recognized by the German Ministry of Transport as an automobile manufacturer. This contrasts with other performance specialists who are aftermarket tuners. Thus Alpina-built cars are branded and registered as Alpina instead of BMW, and an Alpina can be serviced at all BMW dealerships.
Distinctive features of Alpina vehicles are the fact that these models are literally "manufactured", meaning "hand-made". The production process switches between fine tuning the engine, delivering it to the BMW plant, marrying engine and body there, bringing it back to Alpina for interior upgrade with Alpina's specific components, again all in a hand-made process that allows only limited production numbers.
The 32-valve V8 engine has a 4837cc capacity, a larger displacement was achieved by boring the engine block, which, together with an increased stroke, produced an astonishing 508. 4 Nm of torque. 0-60 mph is achieved in just 5. 4 seconds. The original suspension from the BMW E39 was reworked for the B10. Changes included modified springs and tuned shock absorbers from Sachs that lower the car to improve cornering ability.
Supplied new by Sytner BMW, our immaculately presented Alpina B10, is supplied complete with the dealer invoice, fully-stamped service books, Alpina leather book pack, history file, and its 3 spare keys. It has recently benefitted from an Inspection 2 BMW-specification service, air conditioning re-gas, brake fluid, gearbox oil and anti-freeze changes, new cam chain guides and tensioners, and front cover and cam cover gaskets. It will also be supplied with a 12-month written warranty.
