This was in a private collection for over 30 years (H. Walter). It has never been restored, nor is it a matching nr car.
This is an ex Police car and once it went out of service it went into private ownership.
As a police car it has been repaired a couple of times, its engine was changed a couple of times and it shows it marks of being in the service.
Great car to make technical ready and drive as is or the perfect base car for a correct restoration.
I would leave it untouched and keep its story alive, but thats up to the buyer what to do with it.
Yes it is a lot of money, but lets be happy that there is an opportunity to buy a pappler. That alone is something special and probably wont happen in a while anymore.
It has German papers. The engine is not the first one, the body nr doesnt match the chassis number. But probably this was already the case when Pappler put their modified bodies on an existing chassis.
