Here at Douglass Motors we are pleased to offer this wonderful, fully restored Land Rover Series 3 88” soft top. Finished off in Land Rover’s iconic Bronze Green with refurbished galvanised body cappings, it really is a stunning example.
The restoration was completed by a Land Rover enthusiast, in England's West country, before passing on to its current owner, who, sadly, is unable to enjoy the car to its full potential.
Starting with a galvanised chassis, this project underwent a full nut and bolt restoration, with a reconditioned “Turner engineering” 2. 25 4 cylinder diesel engine and reconditioned gearbox, from there on all components were either renewed or reconditioned. With all new trim and and immaculate original dash board the interior is a pleasure to sit in and drive. A modern seat belt anchoring bar has been added to enable front safety belts to be effectively fitted. Fully trimmed out rubber flooring complement the original style sound proof trim covering the bulkhead, transmission tunnel and seat box. The rear compartment benefits from two 2-seat bench seats with rubber matted flooring and tail-gate trim.
With new springs and all new suspension bushes, it rides as good as new.
New tyres on refurbished standard wheels finished in traditional Land Rover Limestone finish off the original look of this lovely Series 3.
For a while now, Land Rover series models have been an appreciating classic car to own and this is one of the best finished models I’ve seen in a while. A definite investment that you can use and enjoy!
The car has undergone a full in house PDI and will be sold with a new MOT.
