HERE is yet another 1960s vehicle from my very own classic car stable. As ever, my prices offer what arguably may be the best value for money classics in the UK. My business has celebrated 15 years of successfully sourcing antique vehicles and then re-homing them with their happy new owners. So now here is my 1960 Sunbeam Rapier Series III. The V5 states just one previous owner since 1960.
A correct spec 1500cc twin carb model with alloy head. Looks to be freshly painted, again in correct Rapier livery of Moonstone and Morocco Brown. it's a proper Rapier two-tone combination. Probably needs some little bits of fettling here and there. A carpet set would help for starters as obviously removed for re-paint and probably not good enough to be put back in. Believed to have been stored for the past few years and may need checking over although she starts, drives and stops. Looks to be straight underneath. Front wings are grp but it was a while before I even realised. However they will never rust and they are of excellent quality. All in all, a really pretty sports saloon and rarely offered these days. Priced to sell as opposed to sitting around. If you are reading this, then you will be aware of where their prices are. Bit of minor fettling and off you go. Probably give the brakes a check over and the passenger seat needs fitting back onto the runners. A very solid car with iconic sports saloon looks. Play about with it with some sympathetic improvements and the value will rise accordingly. Tantalisingly priced!
My classic cars are motoring antiques. Please do not confuse them with your one-year-old Range Rover. This car, for example, is 62-years-old and so will have quirks and faults in there somewhere. These are not always apparent when buying and selling classics which is what I do. I do not restore them, nor do I pretend that they are concours cars. The majority of them go out as they came in, and I continue to enjoy finding more - a skill which is becoming increasingly difficult as many of you will be aware. They deserve to be taken on as "family pets" and cared for through thick and then. They don't make them any more and demand now out-strips supply. Please bear all this in mind, and enjoy your classic car. I can also assist with delivery and so please ask for a quote. Thanks, Martin. the details below.
