Selling my pride and joy as I bought another toy. 1971, 1200 cc beetle based short wheel plan beach buggy.
Tax and MOT exempt, correctly declared as convertible in the V5. This is rare as many are still recorded as standard beetles.
Comes with a full MOT for your piece of mind. The car works as it should and the engine pulls great. Lots of fun to drive and guaranteed head turner!
Body: its an Invader MK1 with excellent floor pan. The car is currently used regularly (how can you resist!), especially with my kids, which like to climb on it, so it’s not a show concourse, but something to have fun with. Tow bar (very rare). There are decals on the body which can be easily removed.
Engine: 1200cc with electronic ignition, reconditioned original carb with K&N air filter, alloy push rod tubes, alternator(not dynamo), alloy sports crank pulley, EMPI alloy rocker cover, alloy oil filler/ breather, new coil and finally a Twin cannon exhaust, which has been wrapped and sounds fantastic. New starter motor. Clutch replaced 2 years ago. Lots of money spent on it.
Brakes and suspension: Just been serviced. Front disc brakes, rear drum, heavy duty anti-roll bar , coil over adjustable, soft suspension front and rear.
Interior:-Porsche 914 rev counter, oil pressure gauge, oil temp gauge, volt meter gauge, bucket seats. EMPI quick shift trigger gear stick. Leather steering wheel. Proper retractable seat belts. I am currently adding rear seats and belts, in case I decide not to sell it. Will be a 4 seater then.
Roll bar, alloy fuel tank (will never have rust problems!).
Wheels and tyres: Excellent condition. Modular 10"x15 wide with 29" tyres rear and 6"x15 front.
