1952 MGTD 1250 cc XPAG Motor . Our MG TD has been subject to a long standing and extensive restoration between 1991 and 2019 by its current owner, a retired restorer by trade, who has owned the car for some 26 years and has covered just 12 miles since . Accompanied with large history file including full photographic and documented history of the restoration in both photographs and in writing along with a large collection of invoices for parts used , The first MG sports car to feature independent double-wishbone front suspension and rack and pinion steering , Hypoid-bevel back axle, Twin leading-shoe front brakes. 1250cc XPAG engine mated to a four-speed manual transmission, 82mph and 26mpg was claimed , Production was 26, 665 in total RHD and LHD combined although most cars went to export to bring in much needed GBP. after the war ,
Presented in Ivory with Green contrasting interior and correctly matching Green grille , Additional attention to detail can be noted with even the bulkhead tool cavity being trimmed in matching green leather and the radiator fan tips hand-painted. The odometer has been reset after the comprehensive restoration and only 12 miles are recorded to date. A workshop manual is included.
