Description
Wolseley Hornet 'Daytona' Special, year 1935.
Chassis number 203602. Color cream white (Old English white) combined with a red leather interior and red carpet. Black mohair hood.
This beautiful Wolseley Hornet started life as a closed saloon; In the year 2009 the car was extensively restored in Germany by a brand specialist.
During the restoration, the saloon body was replaced by an old 'Daytona' body from Eustace Watkins (London, United Kingdom) which was also fully restored.
The Hornet is powered by the original (overhauled) and very smooth running original 1294 cc six-cylinder in-line engine, coupled to a four-speed manual gearbox.
This beautiful special is in superb top condition and the car gives you the special pre-war driving experience in abundance!
The windshield can be folded down, something owners regularly did in the 1930s for a few laps on England's famous Brooklands circuit.
This is a rare six-cylinder Wolseley Hornet and a superbly built special!
