Era classics are pleased to be selling this lovely Land Rover on behalf of it’s current owner.
A superb solid and very cool looking Defender 90 in the rare period correct colour of Land Rover Sand (LRC 004) or possibly Libyan sand LRC 133. (Awaiting confirmation) This is it’s original colour as it left the factory.
Sympathetically restored to it’s former glory and with recent expenditure of approx £4, 000 this very solid usable Defender has had a lot of money lavished on it over the last few years with sympathetic upgrades bringing it up to the standard it is today. If you are looking for a real retro head turner and something different to the standard colour Defenders this is definitely a great option.
An extensive list of restoration work including a new Richards galvanised chassis, recent respray to a very good level, powder coated wheels, full service from a LR specialist, Red Booster clutch upgrade so it’s super light! and carbon engine clean.
Other notable service work includes and new clutch kit, front axel rebuild, new bushes, rebuilt rear prop and UJ, swivel joints as well engine rebuild work including a new turbo, skimmed head, new gaskets and cylinder bolts and compression tested.
All panels are nice and straight, wings, inner wings, cills, scuttles, vents, doors tops and bottoms are all solid and the quality of the paint is deep with a good depth of shine. Bodywork is to a really good standard with just a few minor blemishes that are hardly noticeable.
Mechanically sound and well maintained this Defender is a solid, easy driving example with the upgraded sound proofing and carpeting making it a comfy drive and is ready to be enjoyed as a daily driver or retro runaround.
