1988 XR4x4 2. 8 V6

Our XR4x4 has recently undergone a major overhaul and restoration, with the vast majority of the parts either restored or replaced. With 3 former keepers, the car has been with ourselves since 2009.

As you can see from the images it's had a full, but sympathetic restoration, with originality being paramount. The only real modification is a 3" Sportex exhaust system.

Recently MOT'd for the fist time in many years, but currently on SORN as it's not in use.

Majority of the work has been completed within the last 2 years, with a large amount of paperwork from before and during restoration. The car has been stored in a dehumidified storage facility since the restoration.

Engine & Transmission
Both engine and gearbox have received professional inspection, test and replacements parts where necessary.

Suspension & Running Gear
All suspension and running gear parts have been either replaced or shot blasted and powder coated. This includes rear subframe, front and rear suspension arms and sway bars. New shock absorbers and bushes have been used all round.
The brake system has been completely renewed, including all hard and flexi lines, callipers and disks.

Bodywork
A full respray in the original Rosso Red. We have a full set of pictures during the dismantling (and rebuild) of the car, to show the condition prior to the respray. The underside of the car has been undersealed in black for further protection.
The wheels have been refurbished, along with new tyres all round.

Interior
The interior is largely untouched, showing the original condition. All fans, switches etc. work as they should, along with the original radio unit. The speaker system has been overhauled behind the scenes.
