1935 Hudson Terraplane 2. 6 Straight Six Saloon , Original UK RHD Hudson with original British registration number . Recently acquired from a private collection of vehicles . Charming and mainly original condition , Superb Chassis , remarkable in fact and good strong body work . The interior is 88 years old and shows the patina of age as such but it is not tatty and is only original once ! It really is an amazing looking period motor car with its Art Deco styling , Look at the front lights , they are doing 100 MPH ! The motor starts easily and a new battery has just been fitted . I have not been far in the Terraplane as its not been on the road for a number of years and it will need recommissioning , The brakes feel good and the gear box selects all three forward gears and its reverse . There is a little judder on the clutch but I am told this is not uncommon on a multi plate Hudson clutch of this period . The steering is positive and light for a big car .
This car in my opinion needs to be cleaned and re commissioned and enjoyed just as it is, I really love this one .
