You can drive this bus on a car licence for private use only!
Comes with a Class 6 (PSV) MOT until April 2023. However this bus would be MOT exempt if used for private use. Also tax exempt so ready for ongoing private hire work or preservation.
RM1783 (783 dye) was built in 1963 and converted to open-top at aldenham by london transport in 1984. after a brief spell in liverpool the bus returned to the capital and was part of the original london sightseeing tour fleet until 1998. after this the bus was sold to the bath bus company and then onto western greyhound.
we have owned the bus since 2014 where it has been used for private hire work and sightseeing tours. The bus has been maintained to a very high standard and is still fitted with a a very good aec 590 engine.
we have a long list of mechanical and maintenance work we have carried out on the bus including new brake shoes and drums, new rear shocks, rear hub bearings and seals replaced, stainless exhaust fitted and new brake hoses fitted.
a reluctant sale as we are no longer doing the sightseeing tours.
any viewing and inspection welcome by prior appointment, we have lifts in our workshop so any potential buyer is welcome to look under the bus.
