Hate To Admit It.
A one off machine that is different from the rest with a great story.
We have the original VOC Club Certificate stating the bike as a Vincent Comet
But again they hate to admit that this bike is still alive and in our shop in London.
We have all the numbers 'proofs' which are exactly as inspected by the VOC by the
owner.
The bike was nicknamed as the SYKE Comet by the original owner creator Mr Larry Honour
If you want to view then feel free to come and see for yourself.
we have all the documents and history in a large box file, even the actual MPH Magazine article.
Don't even bother asking the VOC as they rather the bike disappeared into thin dust as they
are not interested in interesting one offs, maybe they are jealous or just being unhelpful.

SOME BACKGROUND HISTORY:
The one and only famous ' VINCENT SKYE COMET ' found on a rubbish tip in the Isle Of Skye by 'Larry Honour' whilst on holiday in the mid 70's.

The finder ( Larry H ) spent a fortune and lot's of time to complete.
After years of searching auto jumbles and making many parts, it was finally completed in March 1998
The modifications to this machine, have been made to suit the owner.
It has since covered 4931 miles. It was rebuilt to his own personal preferences with lots of stainless and polished aluminium parts
and really superb little mods, examine the photo's and you will spot some of them. This bike has a VOC article about it,
also a 'Vincent certificate of authenticity" from the then very helpful registrar.
The bike was used on and off from 1997-2013 and has since then been in a private collection.
it did have further complete top end work including piston, re-bore cylinder head work, etc at 2265 miles.
also has a Scottish registration number, (it would have anyway).
We have fitted a new battery and fresh petrol + a good check over, the bike has been road tested and is ready to use / ride.
