Van Diemen has built more Formula Fords and won more Formula Ford races than any other company, and the RF80 was a particularly successful design. Amongst many other notable victories Roberto Moreno and Raul Boesel won 13 out of 14 rounds in the 1980 BRSCC championship in such a chassis.
This is an immaculate example of a car with a strong track record in Classic Formula Ford, a similar RF80 having won the championship in 2020. However due to time constraints it has been used rather infrequently by its current owner – hence the reason for sale.
Fitted with an original Scholar engine which was rebuilt by Neil Bold seven events ago and refreshed and checked by him only three events ago.
A competitive and very well presented entry into the increasingly popular Classic Formula Ford series. Great value for money.
