Here at Old Colonel Cars, the Classic and Performance Car Agency, we are delighted to have this excellent, low owner, low mileage BMW E39 540 Sport, with the excellent 4. 4 V8 engine mated to a sequential / auto gearbox.
This September 2002 example has covered only 73, 000 miles. Finished in Titanium Silver metallic, the bodywork and paintwork on this example are absolutely immaculate. It looks to be very original example that has obviously just been very well cared for, no dings, no dents, just a deep all over shine.
Inside, the Black leather M Sport interior is in excellent condition. Being a genuine sport, this 540 has the Black headlining, this example also features a glass sunroof, a rare and desirable option.
Underneath this E39, its just as good news. It looks to be completely original and rust free. Solid sills, original jacking points etc.
This 540 benefits from a full service history. We have all the original manuals, a fully stamped original service book, a large folder of old bills and old MOT’s etc, all the keys. We even have the original Motorola mobile phone that came with the car.
The M Parallel alloys specified on this example look fantastic and are all in excellent condition.
This E39 drives and performs perfectly, the 4. 4 V8 gives you all the power and torque you need, with that excellent V8 sountrack when pushed.

Its getting very hard to find really clean and low mileage E39’s, particularly the V8 models that tend to have done huge mileages now, most that do come up for sale are imported from Japan etc. This is a UK car and is as lovely as they come, ready to be enjoyed now …
