Description
Regrettably having to sell my Mercedes 190E. I bought it last year in good working order with the intention of sorting out the bodywork - but other priorities and a house move mean it's time to give this car a more deserving home. Whilst the bodywork has held up well for a 30 year old car - it has spent its life outside and is a bit tired now (don't worry - it's nothing structural).
Otherwise the car is in good, useable condition. Mechanically sound, the engine pulls through all the gears as it should and the auto 'box shifts smoothly. There is a minor oil leak from the engine but it is fine if kept on top of.
The interior is in particularly good condition for the age and the car handles brilliantly (no knocks or crashes from the suspension). All cabin electronics work (including all 4 windows), the only gremlin is that the fuel gauge can be temperamental when reading below 1/ 4 tank - but you can easily get 400 miles of range out of it!In the brief time I have had this car it has been maintained regardless of cost. In chronological order it has had;
a heavy service when first acquired at 166, 000 miles (including a new battery),
a new radiator and valve cover gasket, A new ball joint (front passenger),
a replacement alternator,
2 new rear tyres and
a full MOT until January 2024, including an oil change, new spark plugs and a new track rod end (front passenger)
Included with the car is 3 sets of keys and the full 30 years of service history. Currently it is sat at 172, 000 miles but this is subject to rise as I am still using the car.
I'm sad to see it go but I would love for this car to go to a good home as I have loved every second of owning it. If you have any questions I would be more than happy to answer them!
