EXTERIOR
This stunning SLK230 is finished in Linarite Blue, (Code 352), specified as a factory option at a cost of £600. 00. The original paintwork boasts a stunning deep lustrous shine and uniform finish. A few tiny touched in frontal stone chips are difficult to detect. The electro-hydraulic Vario roof is seamless in operation and the removable wind deflector remains with the car. Originality seekers will be pleased to see the factory stickers within the door shuts and original Mercedes-Benz main dealer number plates. The underside and wheel arch apertures are remarkably clean having enjoyed fair weather use and garage storage. Not to be confused with the usual offerings, this super-low mileage SLK is without question amongst the best examples.
INTERIOR
This well appointed two seat roadster features factory specified options to include leather upholstery, automatic transmission with Tipfunction and Speedtronic cruise control and cupholders. The Anthracite full leather seats, (Code 211), are spotlessly clean and free from wear with firm bolsters. Interior preservation is clear to see whereby the door cards and headlining to the Vario roof are as new. All controls and functions operate seamlessly including the Speedtronic cruise control, ice-cold air conditioning and original Mercedes-Benz Audio 10 stereo. Factory stickers remain on inner boot lid, and the luggage area holds the space saver spare wheel, compressor, first aid kit, warning triangle, tool roll and jack, all present and in their place! The factory code label remains on the boot floor of this superbly original example.
ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The supercharged four-cylinder engine displaces 2295cc to develop 197hp at 5500rpm and 280Nm torque output. Impressive performance credentials are quoted in the marketing literature at 0-62. 5mph in 7. 3 seconds with a top speed of 144mph, and this example performs at optimum level. The engine bay is pristine and proudly displays the bright red ‘Kompressor’ rocker cover infill as well as factory stickers, bulkhead chassis stamp and slam panel stamping. This example would amaze onlookers with the bonnet raised! The factory optional electronically controlled 5-speed automatic transmission operates precisely as it should with positive kickdown and both manual control and winter/ sport modes.
WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
The standard SLK 230 Kompressor alloy wheels are perfect with the correct diamond cut outer rim and spoke face with mid-silver inner spokes and back rim. Brand new premium brand Goodyear EfficientGrip tyres of size 205/ 55 R16 front and 225/ 50 R16 rear have been fitted in February 2023 covering zero miles. The anti-lock braking system offers absolute stopping power to install complete peace of mind.
HISTORY FILE
Registered new on the 31st July 2002, this stunning example has had just two owners from new with the previous keeper purchasing the car in 2003 when it was just a year old. Purchased from Mercedes-Benz Direct in Caterham as a Mercedes-Benz Approved Used Vehicle, the sales invoice details the order which included the owner part exchanging her 1972 Jaguar E-Type and still having to pay £15, 160! The car has covered 24, 542 miles from new fully verified in the service history and every single MOT from the first in 2005 to present. The Mercedes document wallet holds all handbooks, service book, guides, dealership literature and security code cards. A further folder contains the original PDI checklist and service and maintenance invoices, and the most recent service was carried out in January 2023. Two sets of keys remain with the car and there is an original sales brochure and price list booklet included.
