Model History:
The fifth Rolls-Royce to bear the Corniche name, this modern classic made its debut in January 2000. With a base price of $359, 900, it was the most expensive vehicle offered by the company at the time and was, as per usual, produced to exacting standards. While designed to closely resemble the recently announced and heavily updated Silver Seraph sedan (unveiled in March 1998 to replace the Silver Spirit/ Spur/ Dawn) which used a BMW-provided 5. 4L V12, the Corniche continued with the Rolls-Royce SZ platform and traditional 6. 75L V8.
Like with the final Silver Spurs and various Bentley models, the Corniche's V8 received a turbocharger, raising output to 325 horsepower and 544lb-ft of torque. As such, this stately, hand-built luxury convertible can accelerate to 60mph in around eight seconds and reach a top speed of 135 mph. As one would expect from the brand, the car offers an incredible driving experience, top up or down.
