Production of the famous AJS and Matchless Trials bikes started in 1946 with a production run of 100 that were evenly split between the two marques and although there was a 500cc trials bike available until the early 1950s the works riders and the general customers preferred the 350cc bike which was easier to manage with its milder power delivery.
This early 16C was acquired by the present owner in 2012 the registration document states only four previous owners since 1948. This bike is from a deceased estate and little is known as to its history and mechanical condition although the engine turns over with compression using the kickstart.
Comes with – a current V5C, old MOTs from 2006 to 2010, some handwritten notes and an old tax disc.
