A very special SEC that has covered just 56k miles from new in the hands of just two owners. Supplied by ourselves to its last owner, we are very pleased to be able to offer it for sale again.
Finished in rare Willow Green metallic with contrasting Mushroom hide interior, an elegant combination in today monochrome world. This SEC features all the usual accoutrements you would expect on a luxury coupé including air conditioning, cruise control, electric seats and an electric tilt/ slide sunroof.
The first owner purchased the car new from Edgware Road Mercedes in October 1989 as a treat to himself – a car for special occasions. It remained always garaged and used sparingly throughout his ownership. We acquired the car in 2019 and sold it to its second keeper, who has also garaged it and used it on high days and holidays, entrusting all servicing to ourselves.
Thanks to such a cossetted life, this SEC remains in exceptional, original condition. In fact, it is so original that it still wears the same number plates front and rear that it was fitted 34 years ago by Edgware Road.
The car is corrosion free, unrestored and extremely sharp throughout. Even the notorious rear parcel shelf has not been touched and remains corrosion free.
Even the wheels have never been refurbished and wear matching Michelin tyres all round.
The interior is beautiful, free from UV damage, with soft unrestored leather, gleaming woodwork and original right down to the radio and over-mats.
Full service history, all books/ manuals. All recent servicing and work carried out by ourselves.
Top quality SECs are so very rare today. Most of these cars were bought new to use and covered large mileages, often neglected as they aged.
